The Foresters Falls Women’s Institute presented $800 to four organizations in the Foresters Falls area. The money was provided through the North Renfrew District Women’s Institute to Foresters Falls for selling raffle tickets on a quilt. The Foresters Falls Women’s Institute began in 1905 and currently has 10 members who meet the third Wednesday of each month. At the presentation were, front row from left, Foresters Falls Firefighters Athletic Association members Randy Smith and Troy Waite, Joy Curry from the Cobden Farmers Market, Joan Smithers, WI president, Debbie Byce from the Foresters Falls Branch of the Whitewater Region Public Library and Brenda Aubrey from the Foresters Falls Athletic Association. In the back row are WI members, from left, Alisa Page, Margaret Curry, Eleanor Waite, Leona Byce and Marion Horner. A $200 donation will be made to Hospice Renfrew during a presentation at a fall WI meeting.
