COBDEN — A full-time / part-time person will be employed to work at the landfill site in Whitewater Region.
At last night’s environment services committee meeting, Environmental Services Manager Steve Hodson said there may be some confusion as to the type of help he is looking for.
“If I didn’t explain myself clearly, I apologize,” he said. “I need part-time help at the waste site so I can do my work at the office. I’m falling further and further behind in my paper work.”
Mr. Hodson said a full-time person is not needed, but a part-time person to solely work at the landfill site is required. He suggested that in the spring, summer and fall, this person would work three days a week, while in the winter, it would possibly just be two days a week.
“That’s what I truly need,” he said.
The committee recommended that a full-time / part-time person be hired and at the council meeting held later in the eveing, council agreed to the recommendation.
