COBDEN — The new Whitewater Region promo video titled “Get to Know Us” got 1,700 views in three days after being installed on the region’s website.
It is remarkable how much attention it has received from being shared on Facebook, said Andrew Kenny, entrepreneurship development co-ordinator for the township.
The video was designed to highlight the lifestyle in Whitewater Region and the reasons why businesses thrive here, he said. The combination of low overhead costs and access to exceptional broadband service, gives businesses an advantage over their competition.
The three-minute video is closed-captioned for the hearing impaired.
The video will also be showcased in public venues and tradeshows.
Cloud Media House owned by Joey Hitchens in Beachburg shot much of the footage with drones.
“We could only show a tiny sample of life in Whitewater Region, but you may recognize some of the places or people,” said Mr. Kenny. “We want to encourage people in our region to consider starting a business or encourage industrious people to move here with their businesses.”
The video can be viewed at www.whitewaterregion.ca and from this site you can share it with friends or family anywhere in the world, he said.
