There is fireworks in Cobden on Thursday, June 30 at dusk. The event is at the Cobden Beach.
On Canada Day, there are festivities in Foresters Falls and Westmeath.
In Foresters Falls, the event begins with a parade at 5:30 p.m. followed by activities at the ball diamond, including a barbecue, kids and family games, laser tag, dog agility demonstration, musical entertainment and ending with fireworks starting at dusk.
In Westmeath, the day begins with a cenotaph service at 8:30 a.m. followed by breakfast, an opportunity to cycle rural roads, starting at 10 a.m.; from 1 to 4 p.m., there’s a horseshoe tournament, family games and various displays. From 4:30 to 7 p.m. there is musical entertainment, volunteer of the year presentation and a chicken dinner. Fireworks at dusk will end the day-long festivities.
