RENFREW — Bonnechere Manor is hosting a one-day Personal Support Worker (PSW) Job fair at its 470 Albert Street location in Renfrew on Monday, October 16th between 1 and 6 p.m.
The Job fair aims to attract qualified applicants in the PSW field to fill several part-time positions at the Home. The drop-in job fair will offer interested applicants an opportunity to talk directly with PSW’s already working at the home, take a tour of the home, and get information about what it is like to work at the Manor. In addition, staff will be on hand to receive resumes, answer questions, and even conduct on site interviews that day.
“We are very excited to welcome all interested Personal Support Workers in the area to join us on October 16th to come and see why Bonnechere Manor is an employer of choice,” said Shelley Sheedy, Director of Long-Term Care.
Bonnechere Manor is a 180-bed municipal (not-for-profit) long-term care home. It is owned and operated by the County of Renfrew and City of Pembroke and has provided quality care to the frail and elderly since 1958. A wide-range of long-term programs and services are available, including 24 hour nursing care, accommodation, meals, as well as physiotherapy programs and a variety of social and recreational activities.
In addition to long-term care services, the Manor also offers a variety of community services such as respite care, an adult day program in Cobden and Renfrew, and a Parkinson’s support group.
Bonnechere Manor holds Accreditation with Accreditation Canada which provides the Home with the opportunity to benchmark their programs and services to national standards and assists in continuous quality improvements.
