PEMBROKE – The Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation announced that BMO Financial Group contributed a $10,000 Gift of Humanity towards the Foundation’s annual Black and White Gala. The contribution will support surgical care and orthopaedic advancements in Renfrew County.
Now in its 13th year, the annual black-tie event, which took place last month, has raised over $1.24 million to-date to help advance local health care services at the Pembroke Regional Hospital.
PRHF Board Chair Lisa Edmonds spoke of the impact that BMO has made at the Hospital.
“BMO’s role in the improvement of our Regional Hospital has been tremendous,” she said. “Their support over the years helped enable the purchase of a new CT in 2002, the Hospital’s building expansion in 2004, the purchase of the Regional MRI and now they are investing in the Orthopaedic Program and in the improvement of our Surgical Floor.”
Layla Darwish, vice-president of Business Banking at BMO Bank of Montreal stated, “Giving back to the communities that we work in and are a part of is an important priority for BMO. “Supporting the Black and White Gala will help the Pembroke Regional Hospital continue delivering quality health care services to the families of Renfrew County for years to come.”
BMO has been supporting the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation for over seventeen years.
The sold-out Starlit Night-themed Gala was held at the Normandy Officers’ Mess at Garrison Petawawa. Over 225 attendees enjoyed a delicious four-course meal catered by Ullrich’s, followed by a splendid evening of dancing to live music.
