Above: A. Fred and Mabel Yates with the “Cobden Bakery” truck, dated 1928. These are the reader’s grandparents. They had the baker where the pharmacy is now on Main Street, Cobden. The original bake ovens remain on site, in the building beside the pharmacy, and hopefully will be preserved.
Below: The other photo is the front of the bakery looking east towards the lake down Main Street, Cobden. It is dated 1939 and it is her father, Leslie Yates.
