Mayor Moore read a letter recommending Helen Francis be nominated for the Whitewater Region Lifetime Achievement Volunteer Award.
“She has donated her time at the Curling Club. She worked at the booths in the Fair, and took pictures.” he said.
“Helen has volunteered in Whitewater Region in our region for her entire life. She has touched the lives of many people through her volunteer work and she continues to be a wonderful example and role model of what it means to give back to your community”
He also read a letter nominating Russel Mackay of Beachburg for the Volunteer Recognition Award by his family, for his “Papa walks for Kids” in 2020, where he walked to Ottawa from Beachburg.
Councillor Dave Mackay announced that the Omaphra provided a large grant, on behalf of the Beachburg Fair Board, and announced that they had their annual meeting via Zoom.
The Fair Board also included Councillor Jackson, Reeve Regier, and Councillor Nicholson.
