A crowd of about 130 people attended an evening of fine dining and music at the Renfrew County Federation of Agriculture Harvest Gala. The event was held Saturday night at the Renfrew Armouries. Prior to the musical entertainment, three awards were presented by Gerry Richards, president of the Renfrew County Soil and Crop.

Ian McGregor received the Long Time Service Award from Mr. Richards.

There was also a silent auction, which $1,134 raised for Hospice Renfrew.

“We held the gala a month earlier and we were still hit with bad weather,” noted federation secretary Donna Campbell with a laugh, adding, “The crowd hung in, so all was good.”
