WHITEWATER REGION (Beachburg) — The Beachburg Horticultural society held its annual Fall Flower/ Vegetable Show and Tea on Saturday, September 8.

The final showing of the club for the year had a turnout that kept the very attractive table set-ups by co-ordinator Patsy Metzger occupied throughout the afternoon event.

The Fall Show was well participated with 107 entries and 11 exhibitors, up from last year. Executive members Eleanor McLaughlin and Eleanor Wright were on hand to keep things in order.

Diane Davidson was the Grand Champion in the potted plant category displaying a very unique cactus.

Melissa Bennett, Grand Champion in the cut flower class, had an attention grabbing red hibiscus on display. She also accumulated the most points in this year’s fall show, followed by Lawrie Barton, Kathleen Tyson and Hazel Hawthorne.
