The annual Beachburg Winter Carnival was held on Saturday on the grounds at the Beachburg Arena.
There were eight teams competing in the pond hockey tournament. Fellowes won the event.
Inside, the children’s games sat pretty quiet, as only two youngsters attended.
While organizer Huey Martin is discouraged by the attendance, he said there was a lot going on, so people were spread pretty thinly.
He encourages people to mark their calendar for next year… Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017. If attendance was low because nothing excited you, Mr. Martin encourages you to contact him to talk about an event you’d like to organize.
