Beautification Competition 2015
Beachburg Horticultural Society is sponsoring a Beautification Competition for the residents of Whitewater Region in view of the World Kayaking Championships coming to our area.
We expect thousands of people to visit during the week of the championships being held on the Ottawa River from August 30 to September 5.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful for our residents to show our Canadian spirit and welcome visitors by decorating our properties with Canadian fall décor?
COMPETITION: Each property will be judged from front view only.
DÉCOR – FLAGS, flowers, pumpkins, corn, grain, gourds, designs, theme (kayaking) etc.
CATEGORIES- 1) Residence 2) Business 3) Farm Entrance
JUDGING: Horticulture Judges will judge Properties the week of August 24.
PRIZES- First, second and third prizes for each category will be awarded at a Presentation at the Opening Ceremonies by a Horticulture Representative.
REGISTRATION – Each property must be registered by completing the attached form and submitted with a Toonie fee to Eleanor McLaughlin, Box 382, Beachburg ON K0J 1C0 or dropped of at 12 Minto St. Beachburg, deadline July 24.
