These are photos of the former cheese factory located on the Queens Line sometime in the 1940s. It was located about one kilometre up the Queens Line as you head east from the Foresters Falls Road. This factory was owned by the farmers and eventually sold to Pleasant View Dairy. Bill Christie once owned the plant. It closed in the 1950s. The plant was a cinder block building and was eventually torn down.
In one photo you can see the truck owned by Bing Ross in the front entranceway, which is holding 30 30-gallon cans of milk he is delivering. Bing would park the truck and a tractor with tongs on it would come and take out each can and then dump the milk into the tank. The truck at the side of the building is owned by the plant.
The second photo is a different view of the plant with Bing’s truck and the plant truck.
