PEMBROKE – The Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police has now confirmed that a body located in Pembroke on June 28, is that of Myrah Rogers-Goersh, age 17.
She had been reported missing on June 20, 2020.
The OPP says they are investigating her death with the assistance of the Regional Coroner’s Officer, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
The police do not suspect four play at this time.
This marks the second young fatality in two weeks, the other being confirmed as Tyson Yakabuskie (Lemaire).
Yakabuskie (Lemaire) was reported missing on November 11, 2019.
His remains were found on June 14th.
Police say there is no connection between the two bodies despite their similar ages.
