Brandon Weiss accepts his $500 bursary from Sharon Back, vice-president of Cobden Legion Branch 550.

Thursday, June 28, 2018, Opeongo High School held its 50th annual Graduation Ceremonies.  Two graduating students earned $500 bursaries from the Cobden Legion, Branch 550, for graduating and going on to further their education.

Brandon Weiss received a bursary from the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary, Branch 550, Cobden.  Brandon is going on to Algonquin College to study in pre-health Sciences.

McLean Rice received a bursary from the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 550, Cobden.  McLean is going on to Fleming College in Peterborough where he is registered in a Heavy Equipment Operator course.

Vice President Sharon Back, from the Cobden Legion, congratulated and presented the awards to McLean and Brandon.
