1st Cobden Scouting joined three other Scouting groups at the Petawawa Research Forest to plant trees on Saturday, May 12.

“It was a long hot, day but we planted a lot of trees and had fun as well,” said Scouter Stacey Russell.

Two days later, the 1st Cobden Scout pack joined members of its sponsor, Cobden Civitan Club, to clean-up Veterans Memorial Park. The Beavers picked up pine cones, while Cubs raked and picked up branches and Scouts helped plant trees.

Civitan member John Cull was also presented with the Charter for the 1st Cobden Scouts.
