Dorothy and Bob Edwards cut the cake at their surprise 50th wedding anniversary party organized by their sons, Stephen and Shawn. The celebration was held at the Cobden Legion on Saturday, April 7. In attendance were, nephew Darryl from Elliot Lake, nephew Keegan, from Victoria B.C., nephew Jason from Bracebridge, nephew Dale from Gatineau, niece Diane from Peterborough, Bob’s sister Alice, from Leduc Alberta, Bob’s sister, Sheila from Peterborough. Dorothy’s sisters Shirley Briscoe and Linda with husband Andy Boldt. Many relatives and friends from Cobden and the Ottawa valley attended the celebration. Bob and Dorothy and guests enjoyed the evening immensely. Stephen, Shawn and friends provided a lovely lunch. The ladies from the United church served the lunch.
