Charges laid following armed home invasion in Renfrew

RENFREW The Renfrew Detachment of the OPP has laid robbery and firearms related charges after a home invasion in Renfrew was reported late Thursday evening, May 17.

Officers responded to the break in at 10:27 p.m. on Allan Avenue in Renfrew. The victim reported she and another occupant in the home were robbed by several people wearing masks and brandishing a gun. The suspects fled in what was described as a white car.

Officers located the suspect vehicle travelling westbound on Highway 17. The vehicle was stopped east of Campbell Drive and the three males and one female were arrested.

Amber Gramann, aged 22 of Ottawa, is charged with robbery using a firearm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Adam Follwell, aged 25, Michael Larabie and Zachary Curry-Richer, both aged 18 and all of Ottawa, are charged with Break and Enter with intent; Using a weapon while committing an offence; Robbery with a firearm; Forcible confinement (2 counts); Pointing a firearm (2 counts); Assault with a weapon (2 counts); Wear a disguise; Mischief – damage to property under $5,000 and Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Mr. Larabie is also charged with failing to comply with an undertaking, while Mr. Curry-Richer is further charged with failing to comply with a prohibition order and 2 counts of breach of probation.

All four accused people were held in custody for a bail hearing. The Renfrew County Crime Unit is leading the investigation.
