Mayor Moore put forward correspondence from the Remote Rural Mental Health and Addiction Initiative, detailing their vision and goals, sent to the Whitewater Region Council.

Councillor Nicholson said that it looked like Bonnechere Valley Township had joined the initiative and wondered why the Council was not asked to join, and whether or not they needed to gather more information.

“Rural mental health is a concern of our region and our Council.” he said.

Mayor Moore noted that the Whitewater Bromley Community Health Team was included in the current membership.

Mayor Moore said it would be checked into, and the Correspondence was voted on and carried.
