Passed away peacefully at Marianhill, with his family by his side, on Saturday, October 20, 2018 in his 93rd year.
Des Zadow of Pembroke, beloved husband of Ruth Zadow (Wright, nee Carnegie); and by first marriage the late Phyllis Zadow (nee Schroeder). Loving father of Daniel Zadow (Dene), Sudbury; Donna Dennison (late Jack), Pembroke; Debbie Zadow, Petawawa; Patricia Johnston (Allen), Nanaimo BC; Michael Zadow (Patty), Petawawa; Gayle Hawthorne (Kevin), Beachburg; and Barbara Shannon (Paul), Cobden. Cherished grandfather of Greg & Rebecca; Pam & Josh; Renee & Kelly; Caitlin, Kristen & Morgan; Michael, Stephanie & Alissa; and Sheri & Steven; as well as 13 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Ronald Zadow (Lois), Pembroke; Lorna Sparling (late Willard), Shawville QC; Roy Zadow (Marlyne), Golden Lake; Joan Fabian (late Ernie), Golden Lake; Verna Zadow, Ottawa; and Elaine Bean (Gary), St. John, NB. Predeceased by Annetta Schroeder (late Rudolph), Delbert Zadow (late Rita), Milton Zadow (Mona), Meta Macklin (late Donald), Mervin Zadow (Ann), Earla Zadow; & Marina Beaudry (Earl). Son of the late Ernest and Elsie Zadow (nee Verch). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke on Tuesday, October 23. The Funeral Service was held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pembroke on Wednesday.
