It is tuff being a dog sumtimes. I bet you did not know that. You humans think we have it easy becoz we do not have to do anything.
But, that’s just not true.
Think about it. We have to get up off the warm, comfy bed you provide for us to go the bowl of food, oh yea, that you also provide for us.
But then, it is outside for us to do our business. But, what is disturbing about this is that the cat – Yoda, or Sweetheart, or whatever her name is — does not have to go outside. Oh no, she gets her own box in her own room to do her business.
The silly thing is, she still sits at the door waiting to be let out – even on these very cold mornings.
Did I tell you yet that it is cold outdoors this time of the year? My male owner — I think his name is Love, or Tim, or hey you — was talking this morning about how close I did my business to the porch. Well, I had to go outside, the cat did not, and it is cold, and not just cold, but freekingly cold. Luckily the female owner – we’ll just call her Mom – just used the toe of her boot and covered up the yellow snow with white snow. There, all gone.
I do not even get booties like I have seen other dogs wear. Nope. It’s bare paws for me. But then again, I am a country dog, not a townie or city slicker.
And about this going outdoors to do my business — Mom and Tim are like that cat, they do not have to. Nope, they have their own room too. It’s funny. They sit on this white thing and I know this because I go in with Mom, because you know she can’t go alone. Oh, she will tell me it is not necessary, but we all know it is. Besides, she fills a bowl with water for me while she does her business – and no, it’s a yellow bowl, not the white one. And yet, it is still outdoors for me to do my business.
The next time you pet owners decide it is time for the dog to go outdoors to do the business, think about how cold it is. And maybe, just maybe, you could come outdoors with us and stand there keeping us company, like I do for Mom, so we do not feel alone.
So, until next time I have a moment, have a great week.
