Drew Verekyn and Paige Knechtel canvassed homes in Beachburg for non perishable items as part of We Scare Hunger, a program organized by the Free The Children Club at Fellowes High School. Members of this club collect the non-perishable food in the areas they live. These two Beachburg teens went out for two hours on Saturday, Oct. 29 and collected 200 cans. Paige then continued on her own in the afternoon and collected another 144 cans. All this food will be donated to St Josephs Food Bank in Pembroke. These 344 cans of food will be added to any other cans their school brings in. Photo submitted
