Scott Bell of Foresters Falls was a lucky fan at the Blue Jays game in Toronto Wednesday afternoon against the Texas Rangers. He caught Edwin Encarnacion’s homerun ball which tied the game 2-2. However, when the game was over later that evening, it was 6-3 for Toronto, which meant they won the American League Division Series and now advance to the American League Championship Series against the Kansas City Royals.
Scott was able to go to the game courtesy of cousin Arthur Skidmore (watching the game), who lives in Guelph and has season tickets.
www.whitewaternews.ca will catch up with Scott and have a story on this special event in next week’s edition.
The photo was taken off the Sportsnet web page and it was taken by Kristina Rutherford/Sportsnet.
