FORESTERS FALLS — Imagine the opportunity to participate in a six-kilometre extreme run through Whitewater Country. This extreme run provides participants with an opportunity to splash their way through mud pits, muster up the courage to overcome uncompromising obstacles and have a complete lack of shame while trekking through dirt and mud, all in the name of a good cause. If this is a challenge you think you may be up for, then mark Saturday, May 28, 2016 on your calendar.
This is when the first Git’Er Done Mud Run, a fundraising event for the Canadian Cancer Society, will be taking place at Wilderness Tours near Foresters Falls. All proceeds from the event will go to the Renfrew County office of the Canadian Cancer Society.
This exciting new fundraising event is about team spirit and comradery, which will give participants the determination needed to compete in a marathon that will put run-of-the mill cookie-cutter marathon runs to shame.
The event is anticipated to be a roller coaster ride of fun, excitement, teamwork and physical and mental toughness that is anything but ordinary.
This first Git’Er Done Mud Run is expected to draw participants from all over Renfrew County, the Valley, Ottawa and beyond. The six-kilometer course will have 16 extreme obstacles, challenging terrain, and a ton of mud.
