HOWIE O. ULLRICH
Of Cobden, passed away in Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the age of 83. Dearly loved husband of Shirley, nee Smith, and cherished father to Heidi (Radwan) and Kerry (Danene); adored grandfather to Kacey, Kieran and Kendra. He will be greatly missed by niece, nephews and his many friends. Son of the late Paul and Emma Ullrich. Howie was born in Witgendorf, Germany, coming to Canada at the age of 19. Predeceased by sisters Anneliese and Trudy, mother-in-law Marion Smith, brothers-in-law Parker (Jean), Kenny; sister-in-law Pearl (Alan Filmer) and nephews Peter and Michael. Survived by sister-in-law Glenda (late Bob Breen) and her husband Michael Johnson. Howie was a 32nd degree Mason, Past Master Cobden Masonic Lodge #459, Past President of the Ottawa Valley Shrine Club, member of Tunis Temple and Past Patrton of Sterling Chapter, Order of the Easter Star and Past President of the Cobden and District Civitan Club. Friends called at the Faster-Morris and Heubner Funeral Home, Cobden, on Monday and Tuesday. Service was in Grace United Church, Cobden, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment Cobden Union Cemetery.
