Illegal drugs seized in Laurentian Valley TWP

RENFREW COUNTY (Laurentian Valley TWP) — The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) seized illegal drugs from a home in Laurentian Valley Township.

On May 13, three residents of Laurentian Valley Township were arrested at the residence and police seized a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl patches, Lorazepam pills and Percocet pills. They also seized digital scales, packaging material and other items associated with drug trafficking.

Allan Laabs, 64 years old, is charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with possession of a schedule four substance for the purpose of trafficking; possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking; and possession of a schedule one substance.

Brianne Corrin, 30 years old, and Cameron McLaughlin, 34 years old, are each charged under the CDSA with two counts of possession of a schedule one substance. The accused have been released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on July 21.

Members of the Street Crime Unit, assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team and members of the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP executed the search warrant at a home on Highway 41, just west of Highway 17.
