Instruction on how businesses can comply with accessibility

PEMBROKE — The Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce announced that Louie DiPalma, Director of SME Initiatives at the Ontario Chamber of Commerce will present a step by step workshop on April 15 of what businesses need to do in order to comply with Ontario’s accessibility laws.
“Breaking down barriers makes good business sense,” said Lorraine MacKenzie, Executive Director of the Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce. “We are extremely pleased to have Mr. DiPalma come and talk to businesses in the area on how comply with the Ontario accessibility laws. Together we will create an accessible Ontario by 2025.”
At the end of this workshop, businesses will have developed a comprehensive accessibility plan for their business. There will be two sessions held on April 15th.
The first will be from 7:15 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Pembroke Business Centre, 224 Pembroke St. West, Pembroke and will cost $15/person (light continental breakfast included).
The second session will run 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be held at The Bear’s Den, 33177 Hwy 17, Deep River and will cost $20/person (light lunch included).

The workshop is being hosted by the Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce and is an initiative of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce with funding by the Ontario government.
