There is a Ready Family Reunion on Sunday, August 13, 2017 in Osceola.
The Ready family immigrated in the 1840’s and 1850’s.
For the most part, the Ready’s farmed in and around Osceola. A good number from my generation, born from 1935-1955, grew up here, attended Cobden High School, but then left the area — predominantly to British Columbia.
Many of them are coming home for the Reunion, and we’re anxious to see them. In some cases, they’ll see relatives they haven’t seen for 30 or 40 years. In some cases, they have friends they haven’t seen since high school.
So, we are asking everyone to spread the world that friends of the Ready’s are most welcome to drop by on that day.
The day begins with Mass at St. Pius Church in Osceola at 11 am on Sunday, August 13th. At 1:30 pm, the Reunion shifts to the outdoor rink in Douglas for the balance of the day. There’s a Pot Luck Dinner at 5 p.m. “Friends of the Ready’s” are most WELCOME!!
