Dear Editor:
The photo of the three young men from the RCA Cadet Corps published in whiteaternews.ca on January 7, 2016 was wonderful to see.
I would like to add the achievements of others.
We have several youth from the Whitewater area active in the army cadets and navy cadets. Our cadets travel to competitions throughout Ontario.
Israel Hallock, (left in photo) one of our cadets, recently received the Distinguished Marksman award.
Israel attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic School in Westmeath and now studies at Bishop Smith Catholic High School in Pembroke.
Israel spent three weeks at Cannought last summer and hopes to continue his leadership and marksmanship training at Cannought this summer.
