Dear Editor:
An open letter to the participants in the Git’Er Done Mud Run hled at Wildernesess Tours on Saturday, May28, 2016.
Hello Mud Runners — You Got’Er Done!
We hope you’ve had time to clean off and rest up! On behalf of the staff and organizing committee, I want to say a huge thank you to all of you who participated and helped to make the First Annual Git’Er Done Mud Run an overwhelming success. Thanks to you we’ve raised over $103,000 and counting! The money you raised will help fund life-saving cancer research and will help sustain local support programs for cancer patients right here in our community. Thank you for making a huge impact in the fight against cancer!
A big thank you goes out to our top three fundraisers: Katie Levesque ($6,715); Wendy Moon ($5,395) and Laura Gauley ($3,901) and our top fundraising teams: Mud, Sweat, and Beers ($7,565), Moon Shine ($6,845), The Good, the Bad, and the Muddy ($4,580) and Not 2 Fit but fabulous ($3,730).
A very special thank you to our Supporting Sponsor Canadian Nuclear Laboratories and all teams affiliated (How I Met Your Mudder, We Like it Dirty, Wasted, The Filthy Femmes, Team CDC, Mudweisers, Mud Puckers, Dirty Dreamers, Dirty Money). For the 2016 Git’Er Done Mud Run, CNL contributed over $16 000! Thank you CNL!
I’ve truly been overwhelmed by all of your kind words and supportive emails. I am working hard to respond to each and every one of them. Your feedback will only help us improve the run for you next year!
For those of you inquiring about pictures, please visit us on Facebook (type in Git’Er Done Mud Run in the search line). All personal and professional photos are being posted there. We will be sending out a Mud Magazine newsletter too featuring some of the highlights from the 2016 mud run!
