Dear Editor:
I own a cottage on Muskrat Lake.
The first five years were wonderful on the lake but the last five have been not so great.
The algae is back again and the worse I have seen it.
It is very disappointing that treatment cannot proceed to bring our lake back to its previous glory. I have looked in past issues of the Whitewater News and there is only one letter about this problem.
Do we need to complain to the different levels of government to get anything started? Will the squeaky wheel get results?
I know that the different committees are working hard to get the government to start cleaning up the lake but maybe it is time for all residents and cottage owners to start complaining loudly.
Our tourist dollars and our property values are at stake.
I just want a clean lake! No blame needs to be assigned but we need to see more progress in the cleaning up of our wonderful lake.
