In the text below from the council news stories published in the April 28 edition of Whitewater News, you have incorrectly referred to Elmer Winters as Elmer White.
At last Wednesday’s community services committee meeting, Mr. Durocher noted the township lost long-time tourist booth volunteer Art Cobb, and park operator Elmer White. Mr. Cobb was in charge of the operation of the tourist booth, including scheduling volunteers while Mr. White collected camping fees and looked after the park.
Elmer took great pride in running the park and maintaining the beach by removing bird poop (a nasty job!) so the local children could enjoy it.
I hope you can set the record straight.
