The National Farmers Union is hoping to hold kitchen-table discussions with each of the candidates in the upcoming federal election to discuss issues related to farming. The first kitchen-table discussion was held last Friday evening with Liberal candidate Jeff Lehoux. The next meeting at Lauretta Rice’s home near Douglas is with the NDP candidate Dan McCarthy on Monday, Sept. 14. All farmers are invited to attend.
