89 years, on Monday, January 11th, 2016 at Extendicare York, Sudbury.
Beloved wife of Ernie Schroeder, predeceased 2001. Loving mother of Daniel Schroeder (Liz) and Timothy Schroeder, predeceased 2011, (Cheryl). Cherished grandmother of Dustin and Jenna and step-grandson Alex. Dear daughter of Walter and Myrtle (Morrison) Graham, both predeceased. Dear sister of Shirley Hartwick and predeceased by Calvin Graham, Earl Graham and Clive Graham. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews.
Marlyn had been a registered nurse for 17 years at the Sudbury General Hospital and then pursued her passion and appreciation of antiques as proprietor of her store Canadiana Antiques. She had been a longtime and well-respected member of St. John’s Ambulance. She had been a faithful parishioner at St. John the Divine Anglican Church. Marlyn will be remembered as a very determined and positive person who lived life on her own terms which is reflected on her famous line “water off a duck’s back.”
Memorial Visitation is at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, on Friday, January 15th, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. with prayers and reflection at 3:45 p.m.
Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John the Divine Anglican Church or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
