Matthew David Duffy passed away unexpectedly at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario with his loving family by his side on Monday December 16 at the age of 15 years. Matthew Duffy of Pembroke, beloved son of Krista Duffy and loved brother to Ashton and Brayden Laderoute. Dearest grandson of Rob and Judy Weathers of Chalk River and nephew to Andrew and Samantha Weathers of Dundurn Sask. Matthew was very active in sports, a member of the Pembroke Soccer Club, Your Special Olympics Soccer Team and winner of the Deep River Fishing Derby last year. He will be sadly missed by all his family and many friends. Friends are invited to join Matthew’s family for a celebration of his life at the Murphy Funeral Home, 296 Isabella Street in Pembroke on Friday December 27 at 1:00 p.m. In memory of Matthew, donations to CHEO or the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
