Dear Mayor Moore,
We are writing to ask you and Council to enact noise provisions in the form of a by—|aw within the Township of Whitewater Region.
On June 27, 2019, Curtis and l were awoken at 4:45 am by a weed eater. This piece of equipment was being used byJonathan Sheilds at the Chip Pit.
On June 28, 2019, we were awoken again at 5:20 am by the same weed eater and operator.
On June 29, 2019, again we were awoken at 5:00 am by a bush hog and the same operator as the weed eater. Curtis did approach Mr. Sheilds on the third morning, asking him to stop creating the loud noise so early in the morning but he was not successful at that time. A noise by—|awwould very likely have helped us in this situation.
We are aware that The Township of Whitewater Region does not have a Noise By-law. Many of the areas surrounding us namely The Town of Renfrew, The City of Pembroke and The Township of Bonnechere Valley have a noise By-law that can be enforced between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and
11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Therefore, we are writing this letter to you and council to request your consideration in developing and enacting a Noise By-law within The Township of Whitewater Region.
