Young farmers that excel on the farm could also excel in he Ontario Outstanding Young Farmers Program.
The 2016 competition is open for nominations for farm individuals or couples betwee the ages of 18 to 39 that derive at least two-thirds of their income from farming.
Once nominated, a young farmer/farm couple are asked to fill out an application form, where they are judged on career progress, conservatgion practices, crop and/or livestock produciton history, financial and managemetn practices and contribution to the communty, province and country.
Anyone can nominate a young farmer/farm couple for the regional recognition award.

The winners will be announced in March
