BEHNKE, Ella W. A. – Passed away peacefully at Marianhill on Friday, February 5th, in her 98th year.
Ella Behnke (nee Schwanz), beloved wife of the late Wallace Behnke. Kind and loving mother of Elwyn Behnke (Helen Hunter), Petawawa; and the late Larry Behnke (Florence), Beachburg. Beloved gram to Billy, Blayne, Jean, Joan, Juanita, Tracey, Sally & Jane. Beloved great-gram to 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Survived by her sister Beverley Oelke (Elton). Predeceased by her parents Paul & Isobel Schwanz (nee Cameron), and her siblings Wilfred, Edith & Earl. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Sunday, February 14th, 2016 from 2-4:00 & 7-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Petawawa, on Monday, February 15th at 11:00 a.m. (As an expression of sympathy donations to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Petawawa or Charity of Choice would be appreciated).
