It is with sadness, we announce the passing of John O’Neil of Douglas, who passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in his 70th year. John O’Neil, beloved husband of Jean O’Neil, nee Beauchamp. Dear brother of Frank (Donna) O’Neil, Philip (Cathy) O’Neil, Pat (Susan) O’Neil and Jane O’Neil. Special Uncle to Celeste, Alexis (Jeff), Luke (Paige), Chris (Paula), Amanda, Molly (Mike), Jeremy and Gillian. Also survived by Debbie (Shane Lloyd) and Jeffrey Kiely. Predeceased by his parents Ike and Ethel O’Neil, nee McEvoy, and sister, Catherine O’Neil. Friends may call at the Fraser-Morris and Heubner Funeral Home Cobden, Thursday, November 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church, Douglas. Friday November 3, at 11 a.m. Private interment St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Chalk River. As expressions of sympathy donations to West Ross Cancer Society or Community Living Renfrew would be appreciated.
