Raymond Ambrose Stoppa
Of Cobden, passed away peacefully in Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Monday, April 3, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 80 years. Born in Barry’s Bay August 11, 1936, he was predeceased by his parents Stanislaus (1977) and Mary (Zelney) (2002) and sister Florence (1945). Left to mourn are his siblings; Ann (late Sidney) Dearsley, Monica (late Bob) Dale, Stanley (Sally) Stoppa, Leona (Edward) Buraczewski, Gerard (Clare) Stoppa, Joan (Jack) Hilder, and Robert (Gisele) Stoppa. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and especially little Madison England. Friends called at the Fraser-Morris and Heubner Funeral Home, Cobden, on Wednesday April 5. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Cobden, Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Spring interment in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Barry’s Bay.
