Velma Eleanor (Rollins) Hawthorne

It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of Velma Hawthorne, of Beachburg, who passed away at her residence on Friday August 5, 2022 at the age of 90 years. Velma Hawthorne nee Rollins beloved wife of the late Versil Hawthorne. Dear mother of Ralph (Carolyn) Hawthorne, Kathy (Raymond Hiderman), Peter Hawthorne, Sherry Hawthorne and Joni Hawthorne (Debbie MacLeod). Also survived by grandchildren Melissa Keuhl (Shane), April Nicholson (Kirk), Amy Hiderman, Nathan Hawthorne (Melissa), Jessica Swanson, great-grandchildren Ty, Aurora, Bailey, Rachel, Cayla, Ayden, Wyatt, Ruston, Sierra, Ally, Ella, sister-in-law Evelyn (Emmett Stephens) and Elaine (late Willis Hawthorne). Predeceased by son Lin Hawthorne, grandchildren Curtis Hawthorne (Marsha), Korena Dament (Bryan), Benjamin Hawthorne, great-grandchild Alexya. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held in Beachburg Union Cemetery on Tuesday August 9, 2022 at 11am. Arrangements entrusted to the Fraser – Morris and Heubner Funeral Home Cobden.
