FORESTERS FALLS — Pioneer Day and Opening Day Barbecue at the Ross Museum was a huge success.
The event was hosted by the Whitewater Historical Society on Saturday, June 21.
Highlights of the day included various demonstrations, from wool spinning, churning home made butter by hand, as well as woodworking on an old-fashioned lathe.
There was no shortage of goodies sold at the bake sale inside the country store.
The next event is Family Day on Saturday, July 19. Plans are underway to ensure it’s a great day for every family member. Also, mark your calendars for the annual Art and Music in the Garden, which is Aug. 10.
Ross Museum is open throughout the summer, Tuesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Josh Jones is this year’s student curator and will be happy to answer any questions or tour you around the various buildings and artefacts.
“We hope you stop by to enjoy all the fun we have to share,” Mr. Jones said.
