The Ottawa Valley Thunder U13 B team kicked off their season with an impressive gold medal win at the Clarington Applefest Tournament held October 14-16th. The girls went 4 and 0 in round robin play, heading into playoffs with 22 goals for and only 4 against. They had a convincing win in semi-final play, easily cruising into the championship game against the Nepean Wildcats. The girls worked hard and played a solid team game, winning 2-1 and clinching gold. The team is made up of players from all over the valley, including Cobden, Round Lake, Barry’s Bay, Whitney, Pembroke, Petawawa, Chalk River and Deep River.
