RENFREW COUTY (Pembroke) — Throughout February, Parents Anonymous Renfrew County is hosting a number of events in the county for parents, caregivers, families and all of our parent allies.
“National Parent Leadership Month is an opportunity for not only Parents Anonymous Renfrew County to recognize the dedication and commitment of parents, but our Renfrew County communities as well,” says Stephanie Belaire, Parents Anonymous Facilitator. “Parenting is not an easy task – it can be the most physically, emotionally and mentally challenging role. And we want parents and caregivers to know that the important role they play does not go unnoticed.”
If you have or know a parent or caregiver who has made a positive difference in the life of their family or community, Parents Anonymous Renfrew County invites you to honour them by sharing a photo and some words to help us celebrate this amazing individual. Visit www.facebook.com/ParentsAnonymousRC to submit. Parents Anonymous will then be putting a social spotlight on these individuals for the community to celebrate as well.
At Parents Anonymous groups, parents and caregivers talk about their daily challenges and help each other by sharing ideas, strategies and learning from each other. While parents and caregivers meet, their children get to learn, have fun and develop important skills through their interactions with others. Currently, Parents Anonymous groups are held in Pembroke and Renfrew.
