PETAWAWA — In November 2017, the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the OPP was contacted by the Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB) regarding concerns over the financial operation of a breakfast and snack program for students that was operated by an RCDSB employee in the Town of Petawawa.
The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP Crime Unit began an investigation into the matter and identified several offences that took place between September 2016 and October 2017.
As a result of the investigation Robin E. Van Hoof, 40-years-old, was arrested on January 29 and charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offences: Fraud over $5000; Theft over $5000; Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000; Criminal breach of trust and Use, deals, acts on a forged document.
She was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on March 13.
