FORESTERS FALLS — Each year, the Whitewater Historical Society hosts Pioneer Day — an opportunity to experience life in years gone by, but, also to experience life today. On Saturday, June 17, many people attended the event held in Foresters Falls on the property of Ross House, Exhibit Hall, St. Aidan’s Church, Garden and Tool Shed. Inside the Exhibit Hall, Hazel Hawthorne and Lianne Oattes were kept busy accepting the baked goods that were sold. By the end of the day, there were just a few cupcakes and cookies left. Other things to enjoy included working with woodworking tools of days gone by with David Fleming of Cobden, face painting, wooden toys by Tom Stephenson and a variety of music.
