The Renfrew OPP incorrectly identified a male in an impaired driving investigation. In a release on January 9, Travis Fochuk was identified as the accused person in an impaired driving case in Renfrew. Mr. Fochuk was not charged with impaired driving. The OPP sincerely apologize for this error.

A Whitewater Region man was charged with impaired driving and driving over 80mgs after two people called the OPP regarding a possible impaired driver.
Renfrew OPP report that on Saturday, January 7 at approximately 7:38 p.m., Renfrew OPP officers responded to a possible impaired driver on Raglan Street South in Renfrew.
A second caller reported the same vehicle as a possible impaired driver on Highway 60 westbound leaving Renfrew.
The suspect vehicle was located and the male driver had been drinking.
After an investigation, the male driver was arrested for impaired driving. Following breath tests at the detachment, Leslie Wayne Griffin, 54, of Whitewater Region township, was charged with impaired driving and driving over 80mgs.
Provincial Constable Patrick O’Connor led the investigation.
