PEMBROKE — The Renfrew County Youth Network (RCYN) will be hosting a presentation of the Renfrew County and District Youth Needs Assessment and Report – “Walking in a Good Way: The Path to A Youth Engagement Strategy”.

Everyone is participate to join in on Monday, April 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at The Best Western Inn and Conference Centre in Pembroke.

From January 9 to March 8, the RCYN engaged 655 youth between the ages of 12 and 24 to share their voices, experiences and ideas through an online survey. Six Community Sharing Circles were organized, in addition to the survey; where 77 youth explored further some of the questions from the online survey.

“I am honored to connect with youth and voice youth perspectives. It is vital to have a Youth Strategy that can guide and foster youth engagement and leadership in the County,” said Zwetlana Rajesh, RCYN Youth Co-Chair. “In order for the strategy to be effective, our youth need to be one of the main stakeholders in both the planning and implementation stages”.

This presentation is open to the public and will be delivered by Pytor Hodgson, from Three Things Consulting, who specializes in youth engagement and community development work in rural and remote communities.
