The Council of the Township of Whitewater Region held a Regular Council Meeting on January 19th to discuss the 2023 budget proposal, as well as hear public reports and delegations.
The meeting began at 1pm with the budget meeting, and then continued at 4:45pm with the public meetings, as well as reports from staff, correspondence, and announcements.
This issue will focus on the public meetings from that meeting, with budget and reports featuring primarily online.
Among Public meetings were Annette Gilchrist as part of a delegation from Gypsy Lane, Kirkpatrick on trucks and speeding up Cobden’s Astrolabe Road, a Zoning By-law Amendment for “Westmeath Concession A EML, Part of Lot 21, Beachburg Road”, and to hear reports for information purposes regarding Zoning By-law Amendments to “2249 Foresters Falls Road” and “16356 Highway 17”.
The meeting went into closed session at 7:34pm, following a motion to extend the meeting to 8pm.” as permitted under Section 9.1 of the Procedure By-law regarding a property agreement (Butternut Lane) and a human resource matter (personal matters about an identifiable individual including municipal or local board employees), with the CAO/Clerk remaining in the room.”
