Break and Enter

On Thursday, June 28 an unknown suspect entered an unlocked garage on Landrigan Street in Arnprior through the man door. Stolen property included a carton of cigarettes, a cooler and several outdoor garden lights.

Thefts

Stolen property investigations this week included stolen licence plates, three stolen bicycles – one from Edward St. S. and one from McLachlin St. S., and one from Huyck Dr., all in Arnprior; and a GPS was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Coronation St. in Renfrew.

Impaired Driver

On Thursday, June 28 at approximately 9 p.m., a driver was stopped for speeding on Highland Road in the Township of McNab Braeside. The male driver had been drinking and failed a roadside alcohol screening test. He was arrested and taken to the detachment for breath tests.

As a result of those tests Michael Kennelly, aged 67 of Ottawa, was charged with driving over 80mgs. He was released on a promise to appear in court in Renfrew on Wednesday, July 18. Provincial Constable (PC) Derek Andrechek led the investigation.

Mischief

Our Lady of Fatima School in Renfrew was a target for vandals on Thursday, June 28 between 10:30 and 11:30 p.m. Two doors and a window were damaged with rocks and a BB gun. It is believed a stolen key may have been used to access the building, but nothing was stolen and no further damage observed. PC Jamie Prince is investigating.
